FAQ’s
-
At present, I conduct all sessions online via zoom, or the video integration on my client portal.
I do occasional in person sessions in San Francisco and Sebastopol when I am in CA, or in Bellingham when I am in WA.
-
I see clients Tuesday-Thursday, 10 am-5 pm. I offer occasional sessions on Fridays, but by appointment only.
Also, in the interest of cultivating personal and professional sustainability, I respond to emails in a manner that allows me to maintain a life balance. I strive to respond within 24 hours, but it sometimes takes a bit longer. I am grateful for your patience.
-
First, please send me and email telling me a bit more about what kind of deeper personal work you want to do, and what about working together feels compelling to you.
If I feel like we are a good fit (meaning, if I think my skills a re a good match for the support you are seeking) , I will schedule a free introductory call to learn more about you and explore how I could serve you. Once we have concluded the initial call, we will schedule our first session, and I will send you all the intake forms for you to sign.
If it seems like I might not be the best fit for your needs, I will send you some referrals to other providers who I think would serve you well.
-
Sessions are 50 mins and it begin at top of the hour.
-
I charge $175 per session. I have a few sliding scale spots available, which we can talk more about when we have our consultation.
The Empowered Presence Program is $1575 and includes 10 large group sessions, 9 small group check ins, 1 personal session, weekly email check-ins (as desired and needed), two phone check-ins of up to 15 minutes each, and between-session practice/writing/exploration prompts.
For specific events, please review the fee on the event page.
-
I will bill you monthly to your credit card of choice. My payment portal provides secure storage for your personal information.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
No. But I am happy to provide monthly statements which you can submit for reimbursement.
-
You are free to cancel your sessions. However, the depth of work we do together depends on consistency and commitment.
Because we work on a coaching model, the monthly fee is not refundable. Unless your absence is due to illness, emergency, or you provide a 48-hour notice, you cannot reschedule a missed session. In the event you have given me a 48-hour notice, you must reschedule the session by the following Friday or Monday.
Also, if there are three or more missed sessions in six months, we will discuss whether to continue the therapeutic or coaching relationship. Obviously, there are always exceptions worth considering.
If, for any reason, I must cancel a session (due to illness or emergency), I will do everything in my power to reschedule within the week or prorate your monthly fee if necessary.

COULD YOU GIVE ME A LITTLE MORE DETAIL ABOUT YOUR SPECIALIZATIONS?
Clients who are attracted to what I offer tend to seek help in one (or more) of the four following areas:
Recovering perfectionists/overachievers who have abandoned themselves in search of approval and acceptance. People who often overextend themselves to live up to other people’s expectations and have an ongoing pattern of needing to prove they are good enough.
People who have lived with or experienced physical trauma, chronic illness, and health issues, or chronic pain often feel disconnected from or “not at home,” alive or capable in their bodies.
People dealing with toxic stress and anxiety, and find it challenging to manage the impact of their condition.
People who have grown up in or currently live in dysfunctional family systems or relationships. People who have been affected by other people’s addictions (for example, adult children of alcoholics/addicts or people with an alcoholic/ addict spouse) or have codependent relationships. People who struggle to set boundaries or say NO, or who often manage and control, take on too much responsibility, or often feel guilty/like it was their fault.
-
Wholeheartedly YES!
My private practice is open to and welcomes people of all walks and ways of life, though I tend to find that the people most attracted to what I offer are women (whether Cis gendered or self-identified). I have occasional male identified, non-binary/gender fluid clients, and I welcome working with them if what I offer resonates.
About 45% of my practice are People of Color from various racial and ethnic backgrounds, and 55% are white-bodied people, all of whom are primarily women identified. My clients’ most common age range is 25-55, with a few younger and older outliers.
I feel privileged to support, work with, and learn from many Black, Indigenous Women of Color (BIWOC), people in the LGBTQ community, and women from other commonly marginalized and underrepresented communities.
I am committed to bringing awareness to how I benefit from systems of oppression and how to dismantle those systems in my thinking and actions as I work with women whose lives experience daily systemic oppression. I intend to welcome all women who feel called to this work.
As a teacher, mentor, and guide, it is my responsibility to look at my own internalized racism and oppression and to become accountable when my actions have in any way caused harm. I am committed to my ongoing education about diversity, identity, and the impact of oppression, so I can be accountable to and fully present for the needs of the women I am privileged to support.
-
I don’t work with people who I don’t think I can help. If you are explicitly out of my specialty area, or I think you need a higher level of care, I will refer you to someone I think will support you well. I am very discerning with whom I choose to work, not because I am a snob, but because I respect your therapeutic process and don’t want to waste your time or money.
-
It depends on your needs and goals. Some people come with a clear intention and goal, and our work continues until we reach that goal.
Others are looking for deeper holding and long-term support. I have some clients for a few months, and some I have worked with for many years. There is no set amount of time. It is up to you how much support you desire.
If you still benefit from our work together and commit yourself to showing up, I am happy to support you for as long as you need.

SCHOLARSHIP FUNd
Also, as someone whose work is deeply influenced by years of Buddhist practice, in which the practice of DANA, or the practice of generosity, is a central tenet, I see this as a meaningful opportunity to come together as a community, to provide resources to those who need and deserve support, while giving those who are privileged to enjoy economic stability and abundance (either through their own hard work, opportunity, or generational wealth) the opportunity to be supportive.
Not only do I see this is a practice of generosity, but also a profoundly reparative process for our communities, in that it acknowledges that each member of society, whether we work at low wage jobs, (which are critical to the operation of society), or we work at high paying jobs or have generational wealth, are equally valuable and deserving of care. Further, it acknowledges the inherent inequity in a socioeconomic system that privileges those who already have much, and provides a pathway for healing by inviting those privileged members to be of service in an impactful way.
I offer my services for a fee of $175 per hourly 1:1 session, and my group programs have different rates. My fees are based on a collection of factors:
My level of education, experience, expertise and the value I provide.
The common rate among my professional peers.
And most importantly, as a person who is impacted by chronic illness and requires more rest time, the amount I need to earn so that I can comfortably cover my business operation expenses and pay taxes, while also providing for myself without over giving, over extending, or working in an unsustainable manner. Over extending will never help my clients, and I am committed to modeling healthy self care and self value.
When distributing scholarship support, I prioritize women who demonstrate need, and have been impacted by racial and economic injustice, domestic violence, medical impairment, and other issues that impact their ability to afford full fee sessions.
I believe that the arch of the universe bends toward healing, and when we undertake the work of ceasing participation in collective systems of oppression, and take a stand for equity and access, our communities heal in solidarity!
In response to the ongoing need for therapeutic support for underserved and marginalized communities of women, I offer sliding scale support through the Women Supporting Women Scholarship Fund.
I am deeply committed to providing therapeutic care to women who are impacted by racial and economic injustice, medical impairment, domestic violence, and other systemic issues that impact women's equitable access to health care. I am also committed to doing this in a way that does not deplete my energy resources, or perpetuates capitalistic patterns of overworking, over giving, and over extending.
As a woman who is in the business of helping clients heal from physical, emotional, social and cultural trauma, it is imperative that I also acknowledge the ways many women are further harmed and impacted by their value being reduced to what they produce, and their resulting “net worth”. We live in a complex society, deeply conditioned by patriarchal, power-over values, and systems of oppression that leave so many women in the margins, and which does very little to recognize the interrelationship of socioeconomics… that the wealth of so few is often built on the undervalued wage labor, exploitation, and in some cases, impoverishment, of so many.
