Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to one’s direct experience in the present moment while maintaining a sense of openness, curiosity, and willingness to be with your experience, just as it is. In short, Mindfulness allows us to connect with ourselves more honestly and without distraction, thus allowing us to get to know what is real and true in our lives.
MINDFULNESS IS A PRACTICE OF SHOWING UP FOR LIFE, ONE MOMENT, ONE BREATH AT A TIME.
Mindfulness is also a practice that can help calm and regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, bring more joy and delight into your life, regulate emotions, and cultivate more capacity to be present with the every changing tides of life.
Somatic Counseling
To heal trauma, cultivate resilience and ease, and help regulate your nervous system
Drawing from the therapeutic modality of Somatic Experiencing (SE), a somatic approach to counseling and coaching can support the cultivation of embodied awareness, while simultaneously helping the clients resolve toxic stress patterns in the nervous system resulting from trauma.
Different than traditional talk therapy, somatic counseling, and specifically SE, get at the root of trauma by restoring the nervous system to optimal health and function by helping you unhook from repetitive traumatic responses…allowing you to be fully present and available for life. It also helps you understand how common coping strategies, which may no longer be helpful, were tools you developed during traumatic experiences to help keep yourself safe, and that you can develop new, more skillful tools to create a life of resilience and ease.

Coaching
Coaching is how we bring it all together.
By weaving Somatic Experiencing and Mindfulness practices into coaching sessions clients find they are able to take action and create strategies for healing and growth that are grounded in present moment awareness, internal resilience, and emotional intelligence.
Through the coaching process you will learnt o show up for life with more capacity and agency, discern what is aligned and true for you, and how to make it all happen, from a place of grounded, embodied wisdom.
The coaching I offer is ideal for those who may not need to do a deep, years long, therapeutic process but still want to ask the deeper questions, and are open to their own deeper answers.
